Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Interface

Erniesoft has built an interface with CBS. With the new link, the administrative burden can be greatly reduced and the quality of the data can be improved.

Companies that transport goods by road are obliged to provide the journey and shipment details of a number of license plates to CBS.

How does the Interface work?

The trip and consignment data are automatically supplied weekly from e-Lips TMS to CBS. The data provides information about, among other things, the trip, the load, the vehicle and the transit (in which countries are travelled).
The statistics specialist needs the data to support government policy objectives. For example, the data is used to draw up maintenance schedules for national roads, to determine the emission of CO2 gases in the context of environmental calculations and to gain insight into the course of transport flows by road, water, rail and air.

Benefits of CBS Interface

Transport companies can reduce their administrative burden by switching to this form of electronic delivery. This also improves the accuracy of the data, because manual input is more laborious and error-prone. Another advantage is that transporters are no longer bound by an annual survey week, but can, for example, send all their shipment data on a weekly basis. CBS then selects the data that the agency needs.
